Thank you very much for allowing me onto your computer screen. What did we ever do before these wonderful contraptions came along?

Let me briefly tell you a little bit about me. I am a native of Tyler, Texas and have been in this area my entire life. I went to public school in Tyler and joined the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1973. After a 30 year career with stations in Canton and Tyler, I retired in 2003. I became interested in real estate after purchasing a vacation home in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The agent assisting my wife and me on that transaction was a retired New Mexico State Police sergeant. In our visits he related that he was having a lot of fun and meeting some very nice and interesting people. I came back home and checked into the qualifications and requirements for a Texas Real Estate license. I took the required classes, passed the required exam and was licensed in March of 2005. I went to work with a large brokerage company and shortly thereafter was named Rookie of the Year. I earned my Broker's license in December 2007 and that month also saw a partner and me start our own real estate firm. We both look forward to serving our clients to the best of our abilities. I too, am having fun and meeting lots of quality folks.

In my never-ending quest to learn more about my new chosen profession I have earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. This coveted designation involves in-depth courses covering many aspects relating to real estate. I have also earned the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation. As indicated by its name, this designation is allowing me to be an even better representative to the buyer in a real estate transaction.  e-PRO is probably the best designation course I've taken, education-wise. It really gets deep into the internet and e-mail aspect of this business. It gave me a better understanding of just how important the availability of information on the web is and how to serve you better as well.
